Mas é ela que nos faz assim

Os anúncios que bombardeiam
As cabeças fracas
Fazem as miúdas
Sentirem-se umas vacas

Fodam-se as crenças
E a desigualdade
Não vou mudar
Para ser uma "mulher de verdade"

"Mulher a sério" não existe
E homem também não
Somos todos Humanos
E somos todos uma nação

Vê-te como igual
Luta pelo que acreditas
Porque a miúda mais forte
Não precisa das pernas mais bonitas.

I am a woman. I am a person.
I deserve equal pay and protection.
I am not here to watch my rights worsen.
And now, I will fight in this election.

I will make decisions as an adult.
Only I determine when I have sex.
I will not be called demeaning insults.
I deserve to be treated with respect.

It is never my fault if I am raped.
I won't tolerate being punched and burnt.
You can't and will not "put me in my place."
This is my body and it is not yours.

Yes, I decide what enters my body.
I am absolutely not your sex toy.
I have the right to fight in the army.
These decisions won't be made by a boy.

It is my choice to have an abortion.
It is your sexism I will not endure.
You won't judge me for a man's perversions.
This is my body and it is not yours.

I decide whom I will love and marry.
I do not need someone to rescue me.
I am not distressed nor am I worried.
I can choose, even if you disagree.

I will not be paid 23 cents less.
It's my decision to use birth control.
I will wear either sweat pants or a dress.
This is my body and it is not yours.

I will use Planned Parenthood's services
Be it for an abortion or cancer.
I will not accept your hateful message.
These decisions require my answer.

This intolerance needs to be stopped now.
We are people too; we won't be quiet.

Okay, I had second thoughts about posting this. I made this in the Summer.

I came to the conclusion that, so long as I would not be flamed etc for posting this poem, I've decided to keep comments open.
